Moved To Notebooks…

I have been considering for some time now, selling all of my desktop machines and using notebooks solely in place of those bulky machines. Two days back, I ordered my new custom built (via my online order) HP notebook that will replace the older HP Desktop machine. I will have two Desktops, three flat screen monitors and some small items going out the front door after the new machine is here.

By the way, what’s the difference between a Laptop and a Notebook?

Why make such a costly move anyway? I know darn well that it’s going to cost an arm, leg and one butt cheek in letting this excess equipment go. But excess is the key word here. We have a glut of computer equipment laying around the house from the basement to three closets upstairs that have some level of computer gunk stuffed in them. My wife and I dislike clutter. We are sickened by those garage door left open on people’s homes where you can view the hoarded mess contained within!

This morning I completed the rearrangement of my “cave” as we call it. My room in this house where only my rules apply! The cave is far less cluttered and looks clean and slick. I am keeping my HP D series (almost mini sized) notebook for daily use in the cave, as well as for travel. The new machine is for mobile use around the house inside and out. Having a router around here makes the notebook an even more beautiful thing aye…

I also have a really tiny HP notebook that will be staying with us, too cool to sell. It went with us on our recent trip to Mexico and worked great. This article seems to draw the line between notebooks and laptops. It’s one person’s perspective on the world of portable computers but I have to agree with the article only to a point. I think all portables should be referred to as Notebooks. By the way, we use HP machines exclusively here!
